The Vizsla is a Hungarian working dog. The Vizsla is largely descended from the ancient Transylvanian Hound. The Vizsla is partly descended from the extinct Turkish Yellow Dog. The Vizsla was a symbol of the Hungarian aristocracy. Hungarians worried that Russian invaders would kill off all the Vizsla during World War II.
