|Rescue Me ID: 16-07-17-00383Milo (male)|
My name is Milo and I am on the search for my fuuurever home! I am so thankful that these nice people from K-9 Angels saved me from the cold and scary shelter. Now, I have a nice foster home with a comfy bed, foster sister, food and treats, and endless amounts of squeak toys and bones to play with. Let me tell you a little bit about myself - I am a sweet, curious little boy who loves playing with my 45 pound foster sister. I love to play tug-of-war with her and hide all of my favorite toys in a safe spot. Speaking of toys - I LOVE a good squeak toy to chew on and shake. My foster mom and dad also gave me my own kong chew toy and nylabone, and boy oh boy do I love to chew on those toys too. I am an expert chewer, and I am pretty good about remembering to chew on the things that are mine around the house. Sometimes, my foster mom and dad have to give me a friendly reminder of what things are mine. My foster parents tell me that I am the best snuggler in the whole world. I love to be close to my foster parents and foster sister when I am ready to take a snooze. I am such a good cuddler that I get to sleep in the bed with my foster parents and foster sister. I like to snuggle up in between my foster parents, and I can sleep through the night without waking up until the morning. I am working on my potty training, and my foster parents tell me that I am a 'good boy' for going potty outside. They tell me that I am so smart that I will have my potty training down in no time at all. I am also working on my crate training at my foster home, and I am getting better each day with learning what this crate thing is all about. I would make a great companion for anyone looking for a sweet and playful pup to add to their family. It sure looks like I have it all - cute, sweet, well-mannered, and just take a look at my gorgeous eyes. I will be able to melt your heart with my beautiful eyes and sweet personality. So what are you waiting for - go ahead and fill out an application to make me apart of your family and help me to find my forever home! :) I am still too young to go to the adoption center, but you can go ahead and fill out an application at http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/adoption_process_k-9_angels_rescue.html and hopefully I will be able to call you my forever home soon! Milo is a male viszla mix that weighs about 12 pounds. We estimate that he is about 3 months old. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/adoption_process_k-9_angels_rescue.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready. NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian. Please LIKE and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/k9angelsrescue. Thank you! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-06-22-00449Rufus (male)|
Rufus is an awesome dog! He is a senior guy of 7 or 8. He enjoys walks, lots of belly rubs, and is just a gentle lab mix. Sadly, due to retina disease , he is blind. As with most dogs, this is just how it is - not a disability. We have him using a halo harness which is fabulous. It is easy to put on him and it keeps him from running into things when he is out in the yard. Rufus is easy going and looking for a calm wonderful home that will give him lots of love and attention. He does request a home with no cats. Our adoption team will want to make sure your home is appropriate for a blind dog, but Rufus is just looking for love and attention. 65 lbs. |Rescue Me ID: 16-06-11-00434Scarlett (female)|
Meet Scarlett! We think Scarlett is a mix of breeds possibly Labrador, Vizsla or Pit Bull Terrier. She was born around February 11, 2012 and she weighs approximately 60 pounds. She's a beautiful red brindle color. She would prefer an active adopter so she can get plenty of exercise. Scarlett loves to run around in the yard at the boarding facility where she bunks. She really doesn't care for being in a crate and you don't have to worry about putting her in one because she is very clean and well potty-trained. If you need a running or hiking partner then Scarlett is for you! If you give her a treat she will take it very gently from your hand. She is very smart and knows several commands, chases after toys that you throw, hops like a bunny when she gets excited, and likes to play keep-away. Scarlett is dog a little selective, she likes some dogs, like her buddy, Spooky, but other dogs not so much. She kisses the pig and ignores the cat at the facility where she is boarding. As far as her human companions, she is affectionate with but not clingy. She has not spent time around children. **Scarlett is a member of our Continuing Care program which means her adoption fee is waived for an approved applicant. In addition we offer a reimbursement of $250 annually for veterinary expenses, for up to 5 years after the adoption date. **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75. Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org under More Information. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member! (Less)

Looking to rehome 2 unregistered Vizsla brothers that have been together since birth. Keen hunting instincts. Unable to find the time to train them. Terrific watch dogs -- they hear and smell everything! Would like to keep them together but would consider separation for right owner.

|Animal ID: RoccoRocco (male)|
This puppy and its 6 siblings and the mama were found in the garage of an abandoned house. They were laying in a pool of industrial glue and mama was clearly starving and trying to keep her pups alive. The mama is a tan Texas Lacy/Vizsla mix and we have no idea what breed the dad is. The mama is about 40 lbs, so we expect the pups to be med size when they are fully grown and about 40-50 Estimated DOB is 12/14/15. He is very playful and always eager to play and run. Loves to give kisses and cuddle. He is doing great with the potty training and does good in a crate. He is still very young so clearly will need more training. He is good in a crate and good with dogs and cats and children. If you would love to meet Rocco please contact us at www.PetRescueTeam.firstname.lastname@example.org and please include a contact phone number. |Rescue Me ID: 15-05-02-00129Rudy (male)|
Rudy is a smart boy who had a rough start in life. At 2 weeks of age he was kicked out of the nest by mom due to a very severely deformed back leg. We were hoping that the leg would straighten itself but finally had to amputate it because it failed to grow along with the other ones and started to get in the way. We think that Rudy is a vizsla mix. He has a beautiful face, deep eyes and long graceful legs. He loves everyone (although it sometimes takes a few treats with new people) - and he gets along well with all other dogs his size, larger and smaller. He has an eagerness and curiosity about him and loves to explore. Rudy is a super, exuberant dog. He is looking for his forever home and cannot wait! Is that you? If you are interested in meeting Rudy please fill out an adoption application online at http://forgottendogs.org/adoption_application.html or email his foster mom at email@example.com. Thanks (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Vizsla in Texas|
Vizsla Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Vizsla is an elegantly proportioned hunting dog. Vizslas are affectionate family companions and are wonderful with active children. Vizsla usually get along well with other dogs and can be socialized to get along with cats, but have an instinct to hunt smaller animals such as gerbils or rabbits. Vizslas may become nervous if not thoroughly socialized and given plenty of exercise and attention. Vizslas need a good sized yard.
